75th ANNIVERSARY OF THE NAVAL ARCTIC RESEARCH LABORATORY

Ukpeaġvik Inupiat Corporation (UIC), the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and several partners celebrated NARL’s 75-year history of American Arctic research by bringing together North Slope Borough community members, several federal agency representatives, for profit and not-for-profit groups and corporations as well as past and present Arctic researchers to Utqiaġvik, Alaska.  A key goal of the event was to look toward the next 25 years of Arctic science and the facilities necessary to meet future research needs.
